MIMO Cellular System

MIMO Cellular System

Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless systems use multiple antennas at the transmitter and receiver. They offer many benefits in practical wireless communication links including:

  • Increase in capacity and spectral efficiency
  • Reductions of fading thanks to diversity
  • Lower probability of detection
  • Improved resistance to interference

For the past ten years, with my research group WSIL and collaborators, I have been developing MIMO techniques for cellular and ad hoc networks that allow MIMO to reach its full potential. Follow the links to your left to find out about some of the exciting work being done on MIMO communication in my research group.
